    180710-F-FS041-1165 JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii (July 10, 2018) - A U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron Two, based out of Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif., and an EA-18G Growler, a varient of the F/A-18F Super Hornet, from Electronic Attack Squadron 136, based out of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash., fly alongside a 507th Air Refueling Wing KC-135R Stratotanker from Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., July 10, while participating in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise. Twenty-five nations, 46 ships, five submarines, and about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security of the world’s oceans.
