A suspicious stack of rocks catches the eye of Security Forces Airmen from the 128th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard, during a combat patrol exercise at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Ala., July 12, 2018. In overseas areas, small rock formations like this may be a sign for an improvised explosive device (IED) hidden by terrorists. Through the replication of this terrorist tactic, this combat patrol exercise trained 128 ARW Airmen to stay alert for potential threats during convoy missions while also equipping them with strategies for safe mobilization to use in future missions.
