Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Boss, commanding officer Coast Guard Cutter Bluebell, is presented with the Coast Guard Commendation Medal by Rear Adm. David Throop, commander Coast Guard 13th District, and Capt. Thomas Griffitts, commanding officer Marine Safety Unit Portland, during a change of command ceremony for the cutter Bluebell held at MSU Portland, July 12, 2018.

Boss was recognized for his achievements during his tenure as commanding officer of the Pacific Northwest's oldest operational Coast Guard Cutter including a 10-month drydock where the cutter had to be repowered.
