    180711-N-NH199-0072 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 11, 2018) Sailors assigned to Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), receive a patient from a U.S. Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter for transfer to a chemical decontamination room before receiving care during a search and rescue and chemical decontamination exercise in support of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), July 11. Twenty-five nations, 46 ships and five submarines, about 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity wile fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships between participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security of the world’s oceans.
