The East Central Georgia Innovative Readiness Training advance team began setting up sleeping quarters in Warrenton, Ga., in preparation for Augusta Care 18. The IRT is a joint-service medical mission comprised of Air Force and Navy Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard members who will conduct critical mission training and logistical movements. Living and operating conditions are intended to simulate military operations in the time of conflict, crisis or disaster, providing hands-on readiness training for servicemembers while providing direct and lasting benefits to residents of each community served. Basic medical, dental and optometry services will be offered at sites in the Georgia communities of Warrenton, Washington, Thomson, Crawfordsville and Millen.
