Visitors on-board the USS Wisconsin (BB-64) enjoy a rare opportunity to watch the USS Monterey (CG-61) dock next to the museum ship. The Monterey will be docked behind the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and Nauticus at the Half-Moon cruise ship terminal through July 4, 2018. The Ship's crew will host free tours to the general public starting at 10am through 4pm on July 4, 2018.
The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is one of ten Navy museums that are operated by the Naval History & Heritage Command. It celebrates the long history of the U.S. Navy in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia and is co-located with Nauticus in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Admission to the museum is free, simply by-pass the ticket line downstairs at Nauticus and take the elevator or stairs to the museum on the second floor.
