Hernandez a motor transport mechanic, both with Fox Battery, Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, play Staind’s “Epiphany” while practicing with their guitars aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer, Aug. 17. Valentine and Hernandez use a sealed passageway while practicing late at night to soften the noise. The 13th MEU is deployed with the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group as the U.S. CENTCOM Theater Reserve Force also providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the United States 5th Fleet area of operations.
