Nails, (left) both Shadow aircraft maintainers with 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, are conducting routine maintenance on a Shadow, an unmanned aircraft, at Al-Asad Air Base, Iraq, Aug. 29. Brandon is a native of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Nails hails from Friendship, N.Y. With a long history of supporting U.S. military operations in Iraq, the 2/82 and its paratroopers are enabling the withdraw of U.S. military forces from Iraq.
