Spc. Jessica Shields is a military occupational specialty 92G, culinary specialist, with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 297th Regional Support Group. A native of Kodiak, Alaska, Shields joined the Alaska Army National Guard in 2016, saying she did so to test whether or not she wanted to eventually join the active duty. In her civilian capacity, she works as a substitute teacher and studies dietetics and nutrition. She aspires to be a medical doctor who works for an NCAA or professional sports team.
