RENO, Nev. (June 22, 2018) Lt. Caitlin Fine of Joint Typhoon Warning Center in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and Phaedra Jessen, an oceanographer with Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Command share a laugh with students while conducting experiments at the Pennington Center Boys and Girls Club in Reno. Fine, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jessen, of Iselin, N.J., were in town for Navy Week. Navy Week programs serve as the U.S. Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country that lack a significant Navy presence, helping Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
