RENO, Nev. (June 22, 2018) Students at the Pennington Center Boys and Girls Club in Reno get hands-on experience with Navy meteorology and oceanography equipment during Navy Week. Sailors and civilians from Meteorology and Oceanography Command joined those from many other units to represent the Navy in Reno. Navy Week programs serve as the U.S. Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country that lack a significant Navy presence, helping Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
