OAK HARBOR, Wash. (June 22, 2018) — Capt. Kevin Long, Commodore, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing 10, grants permission for Cmdr. Nathan Gammache to assume duties as commanding officer of Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 during the VP-47 change of command ceremony on Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI). VP-47 is a maritime patrol squadron currently stationed at NASWI. The Golden Swordsmen fly the P-8A Poseidon, the Navy's premiere long-range anti-submarine warfare platform.
