RENO, Nev. (June 19, 2018) Diver 2nd Class Keoni Chiles of Volcano, HI listens to Mr. Lynn Bradt, an Army veteran, recall his experiences as a DUKW amphibious vehicle driver during D-Day at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944. Chiles, part of Southwestern Regional Maintenance Center out of San Diego, was one of many Sailors in town for Navy Week. Navy Week programs serve as the U.S. Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country that lack a significant Navy presence, helping Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
