180618-N-SO730-0048 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (June 18, 2018) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Donovan Owens, from Dallas, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), cleans off a serving cart inside the storage shed of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2. As a birthday tribute to the ship's namesake, and representing his famous "Thousand Points of Light" speech, approximately 1,000 GHWB crew members took part in one of the largest single-day community relation (COMREL) events at 44 different locations throughout the Hampton Roads area.
