Navy Diver Second Class Adam Renner of Hershey, PA lends a shoulder to one of the therapy birds at Renown Health's Monaco Ridge Assisted Living while meeting with local Veterans. Renner, part of Southwestern Regional Maintenance Center out of San Diego, was one of many Sailors in Reno for Navy Week. Navy Week programs serve as the U.S. Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country that lack a significant Navy presence, helping Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
