Soldiers of the 56th Engineer Company (Vertical), 6th Engineer Battalion (Combat) (Airborne), hone their skills during tactical convoy operations training Aug. 23, on Bulldog Trail, JBER-Richardson. As vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices, complex ambushes employing improvised explosive devices (IED), rocket-propelled grenades, and small arms continually threaten military convoys in Middle-Eastern theaters of operations commanders at all echelons must ensure their units are trained in the most effective tactics, techniques, and procedures to counter these threats and mitigate risks to U.S. forces during tactical convoys.
