A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker boom operator, assigned to the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, refuels a U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet over Iraq June 15, 2018. The 340th EARS is assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Operations Group and supports various operations in countries such as Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Both aircraft were flying in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, a mission in conjunction with partner nations, to defeat ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria.
