Master Sgt. John Freeland, operations sgt. for events and ceremonies, stands with two ANC coins in the Memorial Amphitheater Display Room at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, June 15, 2018. NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Joe Acaba were visiting Arlington National Cemetery and presented Col. Jerry Farnsworth, chief of staff, Arlington National Cemetery and Army National Military Cemeteries, with an ANC Employee Patch that was flown aboard the International Space Station (ISS) during Expeditions 53/54. The coins held by Freeland were presented to Vande Hei and Acaba in return. Vande Hei and Acaba also presented Col. Jason Garkey, regimental commander, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), with a Tomb Guard Identification Badge that was also flown on the ISS.
