JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 14, 2018) David DeFiore, of Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s simulation laboratory, teaches Nicholas Joyner proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) airway ventilation during the hospital’s Science, Service, Medicine and Mentoring program. Thirteen high school students from Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts are participating in the hospital’s S2M2 summer internship. The goal of S2M2 is to nurture students’ commitment to science and medicine in a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment.
