Two Marines push off too fast for their head start. As one jumps in the back, he sets it off balance and sinks the canoe. About 350 Marines, sailors, spouses and children attended Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 2’S Family Day at Ordnance Point Aug. 5. The feature event was the canoe race, which brought laughter from the crowd of onlookers as many competitors sank or capsized.
