David Goldfein, commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command, introduces Senior Airman Jorge Henry, a joint terminal attack controller deployed to the 817th Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron, before presenting him with a Purple Heart for wounds sustained in a nine-hour battle in Afghanistan Aug. 12, 2011. Henry, deployed from the 25th Air Support Operations Squadron, Schoefield Barracks, Hawaii, sustained a gunshot wound to the hand early in the battle and continued to call in close air support throughout the firefight.
