180611-N-YJ378-0018 PACIFIC OCEAN (JUNE 11, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Kimone Nunis, from Manteca, Calif., looks toward the signalman on Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10), during a replenishment-at-sea aboard San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Anchorage is underway participating in a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise which certifies the combined Essex Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore during their upcoming deployment in summer of 2018.
