Seventeen Soldiers earned the Expert Field Medical Badge 12 June at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. The competition began with 283 candidates on June 1. The success rate for this competition was only six percent. The EFMB is a special skill award designed for recognition of exceptional competence and outstanding performance by field medical personnel. It is one of the hardest badges to achieve in the Army with a achievement records of between 5 to 25 percent. The awards were presented by Michael L. Gragg, Command Sgt. Maj. Medical Command.
