Cpl. Luis Escudero, Panamanian national air naval service diver, practices cutting techniques during a joint subject matter exchange with Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 2, Company 23. MDSU-2, Company 23, is deployed as a part of Navy Diver-Southern Partnership Station 2011 and is participating in PANAMAX 2011. PANAMAX is an annual multinational training exercise sponsored by U.S. Southern Command focusing on the security of the Panama Canal. The 12-day exercise involves 16 nations and more than 3,500 civil and military personnel across the Western Hemisphere.
