U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division move supplies over obstacles during a leadership reaction course as part of a deployment for training (DFT) exercise at Fort Stewart, Ga., May 29, 2018. Marines used abstract thinking and teamwork to efficiently complete the course. The DFT helps maintain proficiency in landing the surface assault element during amphibious operations to inland objectives with conducting mechanized operations and related combat support in operations ashore.
