(June 6, 2018) — Senior Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic (Equipment) Ronald Lilley, attached to Patrol Squadron (VP) 47, Senior Chief Aviation Machinist's Mate Luis Ruiz, and Senior Chief Aviation Electrician's Mate Joshua Bouge pose for a picture during a ceremony at Hangar 6 on Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI). VP-47 is a maritime patrol squadron currently station at NASWI. The Golden Swordsmen fly the P-8A Poseidon, the Navy's premiere long-range anti-submarine warfare platform, and have assumed Homeland Defense as 3rd Fleet's support of Pacific Fleet and Coast Guard District 14 objectives.
