(June 6, 2018) — Senior Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic (Equipment) Ronald Lilley, attached to Patrol Squadron (VP) 47, poses for a picture with his wife during a ceremony at Hangar 6 on Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI). VP-47 is a maritime patrol squadron currently station at NASWI. The Golden Swordsmen fly the P-8A Poseidon, the Navy's premiere long-range anti-submarine warfare platform, and have assumed Homeland Defense as 3rd Fleet's support of Pacific Fleet and Coast Guard District 14 objectives.
