This picture shows the raw power, and some might say, hypnotic beauty of a volcanic fissure erupting with a steady flow of lava in the Puna district on the island of Hawaii, May 30, 2018. Since the outbreak of more than 20 fissures that began May 3, more than 200 National Guard members have been activated to assist local residents affected by the outbreak.
