U.S. Representative Morgan Griffith of Virginia’s 9th Congressional District serves as a guest conductor for the Coast Guard Band, conducting John Philip Sousa’s patriotic march, "The Stars and Stripes Forever," at a concert in Griffith’s district, at Salem High School, Salem, Virginia, June 2, 2018. The concert was part of the band’s 12-day tour in the Coast Guard Mid-Atlantic region as part of a public outreach effort to strengthen relations between the Coast Guard and the American public.
