1st Squadron, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment Troopers disassemble and reassemble weapons for a time trial during the Spur Ride at National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif. on May 20, 2018. In order to gain their spurs, candidates, also known as “Shave Tails”, have to tackle challenging events such as a ruck march and land navigation through the desert.
