MEDITERRANEAN SEA (May 2, 2018) Marines assigned to Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, participate in speed reload drills aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) May 2, 2018. The speed reload drills enhance the Marines’ weapon skills and tactical proficiency while deployed to U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
