Cpl. Collin Koonce receives the Service Person of the Quarter award from Sgt. Margarita Valenzuela during an honorary luncheon in Atlantic Beach, N.C., May 18, 2018. The award is given by the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee to service members who have volunteered their personal time to help the local community in a variety of ways. Koonce logged over 60 hours of volunteer time within the local community. Koonce is an administration specialist assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and Valenzuela is the quality control staff noncommissioned officer in charge assigned to IPAC, H&HS.
