Sgt. Kyle Meyerink and Pfc. Jessica Meeks put together the frame of a sun shelter outside the Pater van der Pluym School in Brownsweg, Suriname, Aug. 6, 2011. Meyeringk, from Platte, S.D., and Meeks, from Rapid City, S.D., are assigned to the South Dakota Army National Guard's 155th Engineering Company, which is in Suriname as part of the 2011 New Horizons training exercise, a joint humanitarian mission between the U.S. Southern Command and the Suriname government.
