180515-N-IE405-1001 SAN DIEGO (May 15, 2018) Military and civilian nurses and health care professionals watch a video presentation on the history of the nursing profession during the third annual Professional Development Symposium at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD). The one-day symposium, was hosted and organized by the Nursing Professional Education and Development team at NMCSD. The purpose of the symposium is to reach out to senior health care leaders, because of their wealth and knowledge, and have them provide presentations and information for both civilian and active duty nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
