Shai’mel Bell, warehouse specialist, helps advanced individual training students Pvt. Jeanneth Martinez and Spc. Lorimay Melendez demonstrate using a training version of the Global Combat Support System-Army information system during a 92A Automated Logistical Specialist Course session recently. GCSSA is a web-based logistics tracking and transaction program used throughout the Army, but training gaps have somewhat hindered how effective it can be. The Quartermaster School’s Logistics Training Department has addressed the issue with revamped training sessions designed to give AIT students a more robust training experience that it says will better prepare them to execute their duties in the field.
