SAN DIEGO (May 17, 2018) Ensign Jasmin Valencia, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), competes in the cardboard regatta as part of Gator Week at Admiral Baker Park. The cardboard regatta is a competition where Sailors are given a time limit to build a boat from cardboard and duct tape to race across a pool. Gator Week is an annual event hosted by Expeditionary Strike Group Three, consisting of various sporting events and competitions designed to build camaraderie and teamwork across the strike group.
