Two Philippine Air Force OV-10 Broncos from the 16th Attack Squadron, 5th Strike Wing, fly over head during a combined arms live fire exercise at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Tarlac, Philippines, during Exercise Balikatan May 15, 2018. The CALFEX event showcased the orchestration of air and ground troops to seize an objective and was designed to integrate the Philippine and U.S. forces in a combined arms scenario and to expose them to the benefits of integrated fires. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to May 18.
