Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command contract specialist Maureen Cameron routinely uses the commands mothers’ rooms designed to provide new mothers comfortable amenities while expressing milk. The California Breastfeeding Coalition presented SPAWAR, the only California federal agency, with the Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace Award on August 4 at the California State Capitol for outstanding worksite support for breastfeeding employees. As the Navy’s Information Systems Dominance Command, SPAWAR strives to be a leader in the promotion of wellness programs and progressive workforce policies.
