The mother and daughter team deployed to Al Udeid as part of a rotation from the 171st Air Refueling Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard. This is the first deployment for Moran who serves within the supply section of the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron. Mersing is the senior noncommissioned officer in charge of the Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) within the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, and has deployed to Al Udeid at least 10 times. Additionally she’s deployed to a half-dozen other locations worldwide.
