U.S. Soldiers and Airmen scheduled to deploy in support of the Global War On Terrorism train at a short-range marksmanship training event April 28, at Fort Dix, N.J. SRM training teaches service members how to deliver fast, effective fire on surprise enemy personnel at close ranges, 25 meters or less. SRM has also been referred to as instinctive firing and quick kill and is effective in close quarter, urban environments.
