The United States flag is removed, signifying the closure of the Sgt. Maj. Cornell W. Gilmore Memorial Courthouse, during a courthouse decommissioning ceremony held in Baghdad July 29. Gilmore was the judge advocate general corps’ regimental sergeant major when his helicopter was shot down in northern Iraq during a troop visit in 2003.
