DAHLGREN, Va. (April 26, 2018) – Frank Peterkin holds the John Adolphus Dahlgren Award moments after receiving it from Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) leadership at the command’s annual honor awards ceremony. Peterkin was recognized for providing visionary leadership in the advancement of directed energy technologies and capabilities for the Navy. He managed a growing portfolio of directed energy programs, leading several quick reaction efforts to include the first successful tactical employment of a directed energy weapon, according to the citation.
