John R. Nay, U.S. ambassador, interacts with school children after unveiling the plaque July 29, 2011, which marks the contributions of the U.S. Air Force's 820th Red Horse Squadron to New Horizons 2011. The playground and nearby school are examples of the many New Horizons 2011 projects. Other projects include medical, dental and veterinary services to the people of Suriname. New Horizons is a cooperative humanitarian mission between the Suriname government and the United States Southern Command to help improve the quality of life for the people of Suriname.
