180430-N-YJ378-0042 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 30, 2018) Sailors assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), stand ready to release the chocks and chains of an MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to the “Sea Elks” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 166, on the flight deck during Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) exercise (ARGMEUEX). ARGMEUEX enhances joint integration, lethality and collective capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios.
