JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 17, 2018) Carol Graves, a medical support assistant at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s multi-service unit, has spent 23 years in civil service. Graves, a native of Sacred Heart, Minnesota, loves the interaction and training at the hospital. “The teaching aspect of the leaders here is remarkable. There are a lot of bright shining stars in the ranks. It’s also a great place to receive care; my primary care manager is here.” April 30 marks the 1st birthday of Navy Medicine’s Civilian Corps. The Civilian Corps joined the Medical, Dental, Medical Service, Nurse, and Hospital Corps as a means to support career and leadership development for Navy Medicine’s civilian team.
