New Marines with Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, ascend a stairwell during the rappel tower event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 27. The Marines were taught proper techniques on how to correctly descend the 60-foot tower. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate May 4.
