AQABA, Jordan (April 25, 2018) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Jannet Villa, from Houston, directs Landing Craft, Air Cushion 85, attached to Assault Craft Unit 4, into the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in support of bilateral exercise Eager Lion, April 25, 2018. Iwo Jima is in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations participating in Eager Lion, a capstone training engagement that provides U.S. forces and the Jordan Armed Forces an opportunity to rehearse operating in a coalition environment and to pursue new ways to collectively address threats to regional security and improve overall maritime security.
