SOUTHWEST ASIA – Members of the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service fast-rope and pull guard during training in Baghdad, April 24, 2018. The fast-rope technique is useful for deploying troops from a helicopter to areas where landing the aircraft is not safe. After the troops touch-down, they assume a firing position to cover fellow comrades who have not yet reached the ground. CTS is providing its members with advanced training in order to be more efficient in combating threats against Iraq. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Dennis B. Glass)
