A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster, carrying members of the 36th Expeditionary Contingency Response Squadron, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, lands at Williamson Airfield during Talisman Sabre 2011. Air traffic controllers from the Royal Australian air force, 381 Expeditionary Combat Support Squadron, Williamtown, Australia, guided the C-17 to a safe landing at the austere site that will support U.S. and Australian air operations. TS11 is an exercise designed to train U.S. and Australian forces to plan and conduct Combined Task Force operations to improve combat readiness and interoperability on a variety of missions from conventional conflict to peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts.
