ACAJUTLA, El Salvador (April 19, 2018) Petty Officer 3rd Class Jesus Amaral, assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion 2, tosses Petty Officer 1st Class Beau Gagnon, craft master of Improved Navy Ligherage System (INLS) Causeway Ferry 07, a tag line in order to moor INLS Causeway Ferry 07 to the pier in preparation for pier-side Lift On/ Lift Off crane operations provided by Salvadorian crane operators during Joint Logistics Over the Shore (JLOTS) 18. JLOTS 18 is part of U.S. Southern Command’s exercise Beyond the Horizon, led by U.S. Army South, that helps to bolster regional and partner relations through humanitarian and civic assistance projects, medical readiness exercises, and exercise related construction projects taking place in El Salvador.
